Restaurant Loewen in Todtmoos

Even without wanting to have dinner, we were warmly welcomed in the restaurant. Thanks a lot for this.

I stayed at this hotel last year and was very satisfied, so I thought I couldn't go wrong this year if I would go back on vacation. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a mistake. No breakfast, no dinner, no manned reception, and a letter with my bill, my name, full address, and room keys were open at the reception when I checked in. Those who live badly in the genre are in good hands here. Sometimes a change of ownership is not good for a hotel.

Friendly staff, great food at reasonable prices, corona protection is well implemented. I will definitely come back here again.

If you are into a museum visit, you should definitely stay here. Or the one who really can't find anything else. Otherwise it doesn't have to be.

I only stayed here for one night and that's totally fine for that. It's clean and very quiet. There is also a restaurant in the hotel, which is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so I couldn't test it. Only the room furniture takes a bit of getting used to. Someone wrote here that the hotel is from the 80s and has never been changed. I am inclined to agree, the carpet pattern was definitely out by the time the turn came. The furniture is similarly old, but in top condition, hardly any damage, and tube TVs (and they really still work). And the bathroom, well, brown tiles, when was that modern? So for one night everything was great, but for me personally that would be too gloomy for a week.

For the amount paid and closed services (bar and restaurant) I expected a bottle of water upon arrival after hours of travel in the room Old structure

Not to be recommended, the coffee or tea for breakfast had to be paid extra, I haven't experienced it yet

We were only in the restaurant, no overnight stay. Food was delicious. Chanterelle sauce that also deserves the name. Nice and attentive service. There was rump steak with fried chanterelles and croquettes and fillet tips with chanterelle sauce and spaetzle.

Been there for one night in the single room. It was enough for me. And a nice place.

A Black Forest inn as it stands in the book. The WiFi connection is good.

The room decor is from the early 80s. It was clean. Bathroom / toilet very tight. The rooms are also rather small. Corona measures were as prescribed. When it comes to food (breakfast and dinner), the price / performance ratio is wrong. We were 2 couples with a motorcycle. Everything was very bleak and run down.

The Hotel Löwen is an older hotel. Whoever loves nostalgia is right here😊👍. Very nice and clean room. Friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. I felt very comfortable here. Price / offer: Very good. I'll be back!

We were already twice at the Hotel Löwen and were always satisfied. The offered value for money fits and the occupancy of the hotel seems to be very good. A visit here is worthwhile.

Nobody here at night! What if there is a fire or something? No airco! Breakfast starts at 8:00! To late!

The hotel is already a bit getting old and everything is a bit "used". Nevertheless .... everything is clean. The staff are very, very friendly and the food is good and not over priced. We feel comfortable here.

Morbid charm

Too bad the rooms are old! Some things are broken ... but the dairy is of good quality. Regarding the meals it was ok except the desserts not too tops. The hotel is well placed in the city center.

First the beautiful. Very friendly staff, excellent cuisine with regional and seasonal delicacies! The central location in the village creates various opportunities for all types of hikes / walks. The hotel itself is getting a bit old. The extension, on the other hand, looks friendly and offers direct access to the swimming pool and sauna. _________ Our first room in the annex was clear in terms of size. The balcony door could not be locked properly because it was not properly on the hinges. The room door could not be locked at all! I noticed this shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Unfortunately, the reception is not manned between 11:00 and 15:00. It's a shame, we couldn't leave the hotel like that. With the complaint it was checked whether the door can be repaired. That unfortunately did not work. We were relocated to a new room without any problems.

Excellent staff. including consulting what to do in the area and if you have an emergency situation. Very nice surroubding in the south of the high black forest. Impressive noise insulation both to the environment and between the rooms. Shut the door and you hear nothing any more. Traditional, beautiful black forest style house.A few parts a little older but extremely well maintained and excellent cleanliness.

3 points go to the part of Löwen Hotel, Auf dem Köpfle. As for Löwen itself, breakfast is very poor.

We only ate at the restaurant so we cannot speak to the hotel. The restaurant is fairly standard for the area. The food is good but not great and the price is reasonable. They do have an English menu which isn't to be taken for granted here in Todtmoos. The staff is helpful but not terribly fast.
